Our Drivetime presenter Angie Greaves reveals the secret spots that make London so special to her, from the beautiful parks to her favourite diet-busting restaurant!
What is your favourite London hidden gem?
There are so many things about London it’s really hard to pick just one thing.
Where do you love to dine out in London?
I have recently acquired a serious taste for Thai cuisine and regularly dine at The Mango Tree on Grosvenor Gardens. It’s lovely!! But I have been going easy lately as dining out on a regular basis can be quite costly, added to that I recently lost 1st 5lbs and am adamant that I am NOT going to put it back on.
If you were a tourist for one day what one London sight would you visit and why?
I think Madame Tussauds because it’s so universal and everyone in there is recognisable, so I wouldn’t feel like a tourist at all, I think I’d feel quite comfortable and happy that I had made that choice.
Which is your favourite London green space?
Any central London Park. One Sunday last summer we just decided to break protocol and didn’t do the traditional Sunday Caribbean Lunch. Went into central London and it was buzzing. We ended up in Kensington, watching our girls play on the grass, rollers skaters, bike riders, canoeing on the river, and we were happy to just sit there and watching so many families just having fun eating ice creams and just letting the day go by.
Do you have one favourite shop in London you can't live without?
How can you ask that question to a woman who loves clothes, shoes and eating out????
