Our relationship with Great Ormond Street Hospital
Magic FM has supported Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2006, raising approximately £30,000 a year.
But it’s not just about raising money.
“Magic endeavours to go beyond the traditional fundraising support and involve the children and their parents in station activity,” says Sarah Hyatt-Williams, Head of Marketing at Magic 105.4. “This provides a valued distraction from their treatment.”
Our current aim is to build a new playroom for the hospital. The total cost will be £91,000. We’ve already reached £55,000 – want to help us raise the rest? Visit the Magic Charity page
GOSH and the Magic Good Mood Film
We asked the marketing team at GOSH to coordinate photos of staff and children for a special Good Mood film which will run on the Magic and GOSH websites.
One of the young stars of the film is Harvey, who was born with a rare metabolic condition which affected his heart. When he was around six months old he underwent serious heart surgery, then some months later he received a heart transplant. And now he’s running around like any other little toddler – yet another success story from Great Ormond Street Hospital that demonstrates the skill and dedication of its staff and the bravery of the children in their care.
